A more powerful processor, capable of better encryption, enables the system to connect up to 16 locks and allows new features like near field communication (NFC).
On the exterior the changes are more subtle. On first glance, one still completely recognizes the unit as Techmaster. The new version features backlit display with larger letters for better readability. The optional Dallas iButton terminal has become a bit smaller.
However, waking up an unprogrammed unit already reveals that the firmware has been completely re-done. Techmaster now has a pre-setup mode where the lock and all connections can be tested before final setup for the customer is uploaded. Logical, that the new firmware requires a new setup software.
Versus the previous versions, the software has gotten a complete overhaul. In most parts still the same things but in a much more logical sequence and also optical with a more modern skin.
Overall, the long expected upgrade is really well done and we at Lock4Safe are looking forward to implement it for most of our customers during the year 2025.
Per Tecnosicurezza, the existing version will also remain available for the time being but is not recommended for new projects.
